Can't seem to catch fish when it show there are fish. You get for what you pay. Took too long for delivery. The connection is very easily lose connectivity and show no reading on depth. It is not really water proof. It took two weeks from the day I put in the order. Good for depth finder not sure if the fish signal is correct.
It is performing well. So far we are enjoying the Norcross fishfinder. Actually we are using it at this time more for a depth finder because we have had little precipitation and are concerned about hitting stumps or dragging bottom.
It is a great find.I will tell everybody to buy it.I am bring home alot of fish now Hi I used the fish finder about 6 times so far.
It is portable and water proof. Works perfect for that and tells the bottom terrain.Easy set up and directions. I stick it on the kayak with velcro. I don't fish, I Kayak. Bought it for a portable depth finder in the rivers and lakes I frequent.
Without the Hawkeye we probably wouldn't have caught a thing.Also, the Hawkeye uses plain old AAA batteries, unlike the Humminbird which uses an expensive lithium-ion 2450CR watch battery. Apparently the heat made the fish move to the deeper parts of the lake. Same thing happened on Paulina and Big Lava lakes. Unlike the Humminbird RF35, the Norcross Hawkeye can actually detect the fish.I've used both, the Humminbird works fine as a depth finder, but has difficulty detecting fish. (The AAAs seem to last longer, too). According to the Hawkeye there weren't any fish when we checked their usual holding spots. The Hawkeye, on the other hand, sees them.Case in point, on a recent trip to Crane Prairie Reservoir (Oregon) we were looking for bass. When we finally moved over to the channel the Hawkeye started detecting fish (and we caught a few).
